Part 2 of a five-part Mental Illness and Addiction Conversation Series in partnership with the Enoch Pratt Free Library, this community conversation brings together Adrienne Ellis, Director Healthcare Reform and Community Engagement of the Mental Health Association of Maryland and representatives from the University of Maryland King Carey School of Law, health insurance companies Kaiser Permanente and Carefirst BlueCross BlueShield, the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, the Maryland Insurance Administration, Baltimore City Public Schools, Baltimore County Public Schools, and the state advocacy organization Advocates for Children and Youth to explore how to ensure that those with mental illness and substance use problems are provided the health care they need and the learning environment to which they are entitled.
