Lisa Dillin will be giving an Artist Talk this Saturday June 28 at Noon regarding her current exhibition, Windows & Floors at Jordan Faye Contemporary.

The Window Series indicates a philosophical search for nature 'inside' and 'outside'. 'Outside' symbolically equates to 'the great outdoors' i.e. 'nature'. Yet cityscapes contain very few examples of flaura + fauna and suburban landscape architecture, in its orderly manner, offering precious little variety, cannot be considered 'the great outdoors', where then is this line between the Tamed & the Wild? Manmade & Natural?

Our gallery is located in a historic brownstone in Mount Vernon at 823 Park Avenue (around the corner from The Baltimore School for the Arts). And just down the Street from City Cafe. We are open Tuesdays thru Thursdays & Saturdays from noon until 5pm and also by chance some evenings (later than 5p) & by appointment.

(note:: worried about parking, stop in to City Cafe they offer complimentary valet, so have a glass of wine there & then come see us!) Also there is a pay by box - lot across the street from The Bun Shop on Read Street.)
