Ami Brabson, a professional actor and singer, has performed on stage and television for the past two decades. Now she’s paying tribute to the writers, singers, politicians, and family members who have motivated her along the way.
Separated from his mother, a young refugee called Anon journeys through the United States, encountering a wide variety of people — some kind, some dangerous and cruel — as he searches for his family. From a sinister one-eyed butcher to beguiling barflies to a sweatshop, Anon must navigate through a chaotic, ever-changing landscape in this entrancing adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey.

presents the Carl Grubbs Ensemble in a program of original music and traditional jazz favorites.

The afternoon events will include master classes and clinics conducted by members of the HCC Jazz Faculty for select student groups from the area. The day will culminate with a concert given by the HCC Faculty Jazz Quartet.

A native of St. Petersburg, Russia, Grisha Goryachev is renowned for his extraordinary musical sensitivity and technical virtuosity in both classical and flamenco styles. Grisha is one of very few guitarists in the world who is reviving the tradition of solo flamenco guitar in a concert setting that was practiced by legendary flamenco masters such as Ramón Montoya and Sabicas.
Hailed as a “Celtic guitar god” by Baltimore City Paper and “one of the best folk instrumentalists in the business” by Sing Out! Magazine, Robin Bullock is one of the preeminent acoustic music masters of our time.
His virtuosity on guitar, cittern and mandolin blends the ancient melodies of the Celtic lands, their vigorous American descendants, and the masterworks of the Baroque and Renaissance eras into one powerful musical vision.
Hopkins Symphony returns to Shriver Hall in an exhilarating program, led by Jed Gaylin, including Kristin Lee and Thomas Mesa performing the Brahms Double Concert, Stravinsky's Symphony in C, and Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. Join us as we bring music back to Shriver!
