Columbia Pro Cantare will join in the celebration of America's 250th in a concert on May 2, 2026, 8 pm at the Jim Rouse Theatre. The concert, “Sing Democracy 250!”, features two works commissioned by the nationwide Together in Hope project: “Redeem the Dream’ and “US.” The chorus is under the direction of Laura Lee Fischer.

America 250!." Additional works on the program include "Lift Every Voice and Sing," "Ameria the Beautiful," and "The Star-Spangled Banner." The pre-concert lecture at 7 pm will increase the audience's understanding and appreciation of the music.
