The Frisof/Pesca Duo, featuring flutist Sarah Frisof and pianist Daniel Pesca, present Beauty Crying Forth: Flute Music by Women Across Time, featuring repertoire spanning one and half centuries for flute by female composers, including music by Clara Schumann, Lili Boulanger, Tania León, Shulamit Ran, and Amy Williams.

Center for Nature Informed Therapy will host an open house for the community. All are invited to join in the festivities, which will include a keynote lecture on nature informed mental health, demo sessions, refreshments, music, and a silent auction.

Saxophonist & trumpeter, Clarence Ward III, pours heart and complex emotion into the every fiber of his sound. UMBC's Humanities Forum presents DaMaris B. Hill, Associate Professor of Creative Writing, English, and African American Studies, University of Kentucky, who will read from and speak about her poetry collection, A Bound Woman Is a Dangerous Thing, a narrative-in-verse that bears witness to American women of color burdened by incarceration. In A Bound Woman Is a Dangerous Thing, Hill presents bitter, unflinching history that artfully captures the personas of these captivating, bound yet unbridled African-American women.

Join us for a spirited discussion featuring conceptual artist Stephanie Syjuco and artist and cultural organizer Savannah Wood, inspired by the exhibition Stephanie Syjuco: Vanishing Point (Overlay), currently on view at the BMA. The conversation will be preceded by an exhibition presentation led by BMA Associate Curators of Contemporary Art Jessica Bell Brown and Leila Grothe.

Join us for readings and discussion inspired by the Washington Writers' Publishing House's new anthology, This Is What America Looks Like: Poetry and Fiction from DC, Maryland, and Virginia, 111 works by 100 writers. Editor Kathleen Wheaton describes this anthology as "a picture of our time, our shared losses, our shared life."

The event will feature a panel of writers representing the anthology.
