Journalist, screenwriter, Emmy nominated producer, and playwright Keli Goff brings this timely world premiere to Baltimore Center Stage. In the tradition of The Vagina Monologues and For Colored Girls…, The Glorious World of Crowns, Kinks and Curls is a collection of monologues and scenes exploring the complex relationship women have with their hair. From afros to braids, weddings and funerals, falling in love, to grieving a loss, these stories serve as a powerful reminder that for Black women in particular, hair is both deeply personal and political.

Hot Club of Baltimore presents a night of traditional waltzes inspired
by Angelo Debarre, Matelo Ferré, and Tchan Tchou Vidal plus the
uplifting Swing music repertoire of Django Reinhardt from the 1930s.
Join us and you will be transported back in time to a cafe in Paris
before World War II when "La Ville Lumière" was the entertainment
center of Europe.
UMBC's Department of Music presents flutist Lisa Cella, professor of music at UMBC, who will present her Low Flutes Project, which seeks to find, create, record, and present new works that shatter boundaries in sound and technique for alto and bass flute. Through commissioning, performing, and recording, she adds her voice to a body of repertoire, helping to inspire the new generation of composers to explore deeply these two instruments that have captured her passion.
For the first time since the lockdown, local favorites The Bottom Rung will come together to celebrate the songs of Fred Eaglesmith. A true collaboration, each member is featured -- Baltimore's own stalwart of honest songwriting Caleb Stine, habitual sideman Nick Sjostrom, folk virtuosos Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish of The Honey Dewdrops, and true southern gentleman Lance Price.

Peravon is an exciting trio that plays standard tunes but employs the rhythms and sensibilities of funk, blues, rock, and Latin styles. Peravon also plays original compositions in the same vein.
