One hundred years after the passage of the 19th Amendment, The Vote tells the dramatic culmination story of the hard-fought campaign waged by American women for the right to vote, a transformative cultural and political movement that resulted in the largest expansion of voting rights in U.S. history.
The Baltimore Museum of Art has launch of a new microsite to house and make publicly accessible nearly all of the videos that had been installed for its major spring exhibition, Candice Breitz: Too Long, Didn’t Read, which closed several days after its opening in March in accordance with health and safety guidelines. The site features Breitz’s powerful multichannel videos TLDR (2017), which explores a series of global debates surrounding sex work, and Love Story (2016), which contrasts narrations of the experiences of six individuals impacted by the global refugee crisis.
Enjoy one more (virtual) trip to Howard Street and hear the stories of Hutzler’s, Hochschild’s, Hecht’s, Stewart’s and the other establishments that comprised Baltimore’s former bustling commercial district. Join noted department store historian, lecturer, and author Michael Lisicky as he explain why Baltimoreans still hold Hutzler’s, and many similar institutions, dear to their hearts.

Teens (grade 7-12) are invited to join Teen Center staff to learn a brand new platform for virtual robot programming, VexCode VR! We will remotely collaborate on programming challenges posted on their website. Teens of any skill level, including total beginners, are welcome. As an added bonus for those on Vex teams, your code can be used later on to control a real-life robot, but this is for any teens who are interested.

Explore the fundamentals of auditioning on camera. Build your knowledge of the film market regionally. These hour and a half long classes will feature a topic for lecture, discussion opportunities, and individual activations for the student. From where to find film work, to understanding industry standard around self-taping, this special experience will increase your confidence when approaching your next taped audition. Students will be asked to do work outside of the workshop periods for feedback.

He is a long time member of the Peabody Ragtime Ensemble, the Celtic rock band O’Malley’s March, and the Lexington Brass Quintet. Jared is a 1980-something graduate of the Peabody Conservatory. For this evening’s concert, he will play a set of soothing Celtic and original music on harp.
