Conquer the mesmerizing landscape of tapas and pinchos. From papas bravas to tigres (stuffed mussels), this class will take you on a journey from Madrid to Bilbao to Asturias, featuring native small plate dishes from all your favorite regions in Spain. While we can’t guarentee you’ll learn how to roll your R’s, you’ll leave class with some tantalizing tapas recipes + a great appreciation for the simple yet robust techniques behind traditional Spanish cooking.

Native Voices Day - Exhibit Closing Day
Let your little ones explore and learn about American Indian traditions and culture during our Native Voices Day! Join us to make pinch pots in our BGE StudioWorkshop. Try your hand at a variety of activities at our Art a la Cart and Exploration Stations designed to teach you about American Indian heritage. This is also a great chance to explore our the temporary Native Voices: New England Tribal Families exhibit where you can explore five thriving New England communities as they work to balance cultural traditions with life in a modern world.
Robinson Nature Center
Families, come explore nature in an engaging, play-to-learn platform with staff from Port Discovery Children's museum. Programs integrate music, games, and nature exploration. Create rhythms, play with sound, use your imagination to be like an animal and discover the world around you. Please note these programs do not involve live animals.
Funding for these programs is provided by the Howard County Arts Council through a grant from Howard County Government.
Ages 3-10, with an adult.
Free with daily admission or Robinson annual membership.

Glow Bugs and Build!
It’s glow time! Let’s learn about bioluminescence by working with a glowing bacteria. These brilliant “bugs” glow in response to oxygen or movement to create a mesmerizing glow effect. In this hands-on workshop we will get a chance to build and create gadgets (e.g. a tube that pushes oxygen through the bacterial culture with a push of a button) to show off this incredible property!
