Harry Houdini wasn’t born – he was invented. The world’s most famous magician began life as Erik Weisz, the son of a Hungarian rabbi. This engaging and entertaining living history performance tells the story of how Erich Weiss became Harry Houdini and investigates the technologies, marketing prowess and entertainment trends that transformed him into a superstar. Harry Houdini is portrayed by David London.
Admission is $1 for Downtown Dollar Day.
This holiday Brass and Organ concert features the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's "top brass” players (literally!) and organist Michael Britt, who will play Brown Memorial Church's renowned 1931 Skinner organ. The first half of the program will offer traditional brass and organ pieces by Handel, Mozart, and Strauss. It also includes Daniel Gawthrop’s “Sinfonia Festiva.” The second half will present a medley of holiday favorites.
The Columbia Pro Cantare Chambers Singers will perform its annual holiday concert, "A Christmas Noel," Sunday, December 9, 2018, 7 pm at Christ Episcopal Church in Columbia. The concert will feature festive music from the Renaissance through the present sung a cappella and with accompaniment. The intimate setting of Christ Church is the perfect space for listening to the joyful music of the holidays from many countries and eras.

The concert is a celebration of a hometown holiday with the HHS Jazz Ensemble and special guest performing jazz standards and holiday classics.
The awe-inspiring talents of Troupe Vertigo come to the concert hall as acrobats, contortionists, jugglers, strongmen and high-flying aerialists join the BSO for this spectacular holiday-themed show.
