Experience something different this Nutcracker season! Charm City Ballet presents its original production, A Christmas Carol. After past seasons’ sold out, critically acclaimed performances of A Christmas Carol, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Little Mermaid, CCB brings this repeat winter production to audiences. Founders and choreographers, Peter Commander and Rebecca Friedman are 2009 Goucher College dance major graduates who have brought together an eclectic mix of local dancers to perform in this lively version of the familiar tale.

NYC’s beloved comedian and larger-than-life personality Murray Hill (aka Mr. Showbiz) gives the much-needed gift of holiday cheer to Baltimore with his legendary Yuletide holiday show, A Murray Little Christmas. If there is anyone to get us in the holiday spirit, it's Murray and his fun-loving pals.

We’re delighted to present a return engagement of Scott Stansfield’s exciting and brassy Melting Pot Big Band. Comprised of five trumpets, five saxophones, five trombones, and five rhythm professionals drawn from across Maryland, Pennsylvania, DC, and Virginia, the Melting Pot Big Band has been rolling like a steaming juggernaut through the local music scene, and will provide you with a thrilling Yule experience you’re not likely to forget.

Baltimore City Recreation & Parks invites guests to celebrate Mimi DiPietro Ice Rink and its 50 years of service to the Patterson Park community with a Golden Affair. At 1 p.m. the doors will open to the public with an Ice Show featuring The Next Ice Age Academy and the Mount Pleasant Performance Troupe followed by public skate from 3 - 5 p.m.
The event is free with registration.
Baltimore Choral Arts presents Sing-Along Messiah.
The Baltimore Choral Arts Choir invites area choruses and YOU to join in to sing highlights of this Baroque classic. It can’t be Christmas without Handel’s Messiah and the Hallelujah Chorus.
Celebrate the season with festive art songs, classic carols, and holiday favorites sung by sopranos Annie Gill and Thea Tullman Moore, mezzo-soprano Elise Christina Jenkins, bass-baritone Jarrod Lee, and pianist Patricia McKewen Amato. Experience “performers with easy, conversational rapport with their audience, stage presence and exquisite voices in a diverse and energetic program” (Baltimore Messenger) and join the artists for a champagne reception following the hour of music. Seating is not reserved and tickets will also be available at the door the evening of the performance.
The Baltimore Improv Group has improv comedy shows every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7, 8 & 9 p.m. All Thursday shows are free. Friday and Saturday shows are $10.
