Tonight, we celebrate Puerto Rican resilience and resistance. Our packed night is headlined by the mighty Orquesta el Macabeo, punk musicians turned gritty hardcore salsa masters.
Jazz singer, pianist and big band crooner Tony DeSare joins Jack Everly and the BSO in a dazzling program saluting pop music’s greatest pianists. From Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue to the hits of piano men Billy Joel, Elton John and Ray Charles, this program will have you singing.
Hailing from south of Sao Paulo, charismatic vocalist Rose Moraes has entertained thousands of music lovers with her “Roots of Brazil” concerts. She has performed widely in Switzerland, Poland, Brazil, and the U.S., where she now resides.
Unified Community Connections, a nonprofit agency serving children and adults with disabilities, will hold its signature event, Hoodstock XV, a family-friendly music festival fundraiser where guests wear jeans and tie-dye and enjoy live music from the 1960s and ’70s with a splash of contemporary.

Awadagin Pratt returns to Baltimore in Hopkins Symphony Orchestra's Season Premiere Concert. Led by Music Director Jed Gaylin, HSO will perform Vaughan Williams' Wasps Overture, Appalachian Spring by Copland, and the Grieg Piano Concerto with the inimitable Pratt. Join us for this special program.

New York’s undisputed queen of the underground and legendary avant-gardist Penny Arcade, descends on Baltimore with her show Longing Lasts Longer, a rock n’ roll blend of stand-up comedy and memoir– a fierce, visionary and ultimately hopeful critique of New York’s slide from the “city that never sleeps” to the “city that can’t wake up.” It might be about the Big Apple, but there is enough here for Charm City to chew on as we grow and change.
The Gemini Piano Trio will open the Sundays At Three 2018-19 season with Beethoven’s Trio No. 3 in C minor, Leonard Bernstein’s Piano Trio, and the Shostakovich Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor. Now in its 23rd season, the trio is one of the few professional all-family chamber groups in the U.S. San Diego Union-Tribune hailed the trio as “mind readers” with “almost uncanny musical closeness.”

Join the artists of Baltimore Musicales for a musical and cultural celebration! This concert features “The Thirteen,” an all-star professional choir known for inspired and powerful live performance. Founded in 2012, the choir performs a repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the Romantic, from Bach to Bruckner; and from Gregorian chant to the world premieres of new American composers. Its artists are from among the finest ensembles in the world, including Chanticleer, Seraphic Fire, Apollo’s Fire, Conspirare, I Fagiolini, Opera Philadelphia, Boston Early Music Festival and Trinity Wall Street.

The Thirteen, an all-star professional choir known for inspired and powerful live performance, will present a FREE concert with renowned organist Jeremy Filsell on Thursday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m. The concert, commemorating the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day, will be held in McDaniel College’s (Big) Baker Chapel. The choir will perform it’s program, “i write your name”, featuring Poulenc’s Figure Humaine and Duruflé’s Requiem. The Thirteen will also present a Masterclass at Big Baker Chapel at 4:15 p.m. Both events are free.
Juanito Pascual’s New Flamenco Trio creates a unique world music experience fusing traditional Spanish flamenco with elements of jazz, pop, and rock music, and performing with virtuosity and passion. A native of Minnesota, Pascual studied flamenco in Spain and has traveled the world with his organic blend of traditional and contemporary flamenco with far ranging influences. The trio will include Pascual on guitar, Brad Barrett on bass, and Guillermo Barron on percussion.
