This is a 12-week afternoon class for ages to 9 – 12. Students will focus on building skill, craftsmanship, and discuss technique to build deeper relationships with tools and materials. They will explore texture, color and shape while building technical skills as they create a wide variety of wonderful creations.Each class session will introduce a new technique and present a new, exciting challenge. All works will be created in red earthenware, decorated with vibrant AMACO velvet underglaze and glaze fired to cone 04. Class includes all materials and firing.
Learn the fundamentals of improv comedy with a skilled and supportive instructor from Highwire Improv. We’ll play some very silly games, learn how to create characters, explore techniques to collaborate and create as a team, and even perform full improvised scenes together!Of course, you won’t be facing this new experience alone – you’ll be learning these new skills with a team of new improvisers, and by the end you’ll be ready to put on a showcase for your friends, family, and fans!
Join us for our newest family program: Stories & Art in the Galleries! Children will enjoy a story and complimentary age-appropriate art activity while viewing CAC's latest gallery exhibit. This month, we're reading "Blizzard," a story about the infamous blizzard of 1978 which brought 53 inches of snow to the author's childhood home in Rhode Island. After the story, children will be invited to make Watercolor and Salt Snowy Paintings!

Learn how to use the Standards to propel your organization forward in this 2-hour introductory course. The course will provide an overview of the Standards for Excellence 67 performance indicators and give participants an opportunity to assess their own organizations.

Echoes of Nature will be joining us each month for $5 STEAM Sunday workshops. Each workshop will include a visit from one or more of their live animal ambassadors and a fun art activity. Join us for STEAM Sunday! Echoes of Nature will teach us about animals that thrive in cold and snowy climates.
