AMP Up! encourages Baltimore Creatives 16-24 years old to create origional songs and new works. The creative process begins with writing workshops led by mentors. Professionals in the field give feedback and pro tips on the creative and song writing process. Spring mentors include artist producer, songwriter, DJ Von Vargas, singer, songwriter Sahffi, and music producer and television sound engineer Winston Philip.
WHAT’S NEXT? FEST will feature a small college fair, Youthworks Application Assistance, and other neighborhood vendors like Mission Fit, Maryland 529, and BYKE Collective. Each vendor will feature opportunities and information their organization offers for teens and their families. There will also be free food and music.
To launch our new partnership with the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce, GBCA is excited to announce a special happy hour event happening on Thursday, March 30 from 6 - 8 p.m., at Urban Reads Bookstore located at 3008 Greenmount Avenue, Baltimore, MD.
This event is open to GBCA members and non-members.
This free event allows young people (ages 7 to 14) to showcase their baseball and softball skills while earning a chance to attend and perform during the MLB® World Series!
Athletes are tested, and their measurements are recorded. Based on their scores, they advance from a local event to a Team Championship held in MLB stadiums. Top scores then qualify for an all-expenses-paid trip for two to compete at the National Finals, which is hosted at the World Series.
