The Dance & Bmore Elder Ensemble for individuals 60+ could be the group for you. Dance & Bmore uses creative storytelling, movement, music, and theater to engage audiences of every age and stage of life.
DATES: Wednesdays, September 20th, 27th, October 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th
TIME: 1:00 - 2:00PM
LOCATION: Waxter Center, 1000 Cathedral St, Baltimore, MD 21201
This is a 12-week afternoon class for ages to 9 – 12. Students will focus on building skill, craftsmanship, and discuss technique to build deeper relationships with tools and materials. They will explore texture, color and shape while building technical skills as they create a wide variety of wonderful creations.Each class session will introduce a new technique and present a new, exciting challenge. All works will be created in red earthenware, decorated with vibrant AMACO velvet underglaze and glaze fired to cone 04. Class includes all materials and firing.

Baltimore Choral Arts invites members of our local community to come and sing with us for this exciting workshop at Grace United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 7, 2023. The day will begin with rehearsal at 11:15 am, when participants will learn from our expert conducting staff as we rehearse this choral masterpiece.* After having the opportunity to build relationships with members of the Baltimore singing community, the day will culminate in a public performance at 3:30 pm.
The Black Choreographers Festival is a weekend celebrating the talented Black choreographers in Baltimore. Join us October 13-15 for dance performances, workshop dance classes, and a moving panel discussion.

Shake out your sillies with song, nursery rhymes, puppet shows, instruments, and, of course, a dance party! Each class begins with a breathing exercise before transitioning into music and movement activities. Taught by Eliza Adams, a Maryland preschool teacher and musician, this class is designed for children 5 and under. Caretakers are welcome to join or watch!
Meet Danny Joe and his puppet pals at MCHC for a playdate! During this interactive performance, we’ll saddle up with the quickest drawer in the west, a cowboy named Buck. A. Roo. Everyone feels overwhelmed sometimes, so together we’ll practice different ways to take control of complex feelings through art, song, and dance. Giddyup, partner! Participants will make and take a related STEAM/SEL art project to continue the play at home. Suitable for families and children 3–6 years.

Meet the creatives who put the “charm” in Charm City! The Locally Grown Festival will bring together local performers, artists, and makers for a weekend of fresh voices, local connection, and theater in all its forms. Join us for this inaugural celebration of Baltimore’s brilliant, eccentric, and thriving arts ecology.
During this virtual guided course, educators, therapists, counselors, and guardians learn how to use puppets to create bridges of trust, engagement, communication, and motivation with children. Designed and taught by Lindsey “Z” Briggs, co-artistic Director of WonderSpark Puppets and Foundation Manager of The Jim Henson Foundation. Registration includes two 2-hour sessions and a customized hand puppet-making kit. A beneficial experience for those working with children in neurodiverse populations. Registration is required, space is limited.
