In conjunction with our neighbors at the German American Cultural Center of Maryland, we will be screening “Toni Erdmann” at The Peale. This movie is in German and will be played with English subtitles. Coffee and cake will accompany the movie.
“Toni Erdmann” is a 2016 award-winning German-Austrian comedy-drama film directed by Maren Ade. The film tells the story of a complex relationship between a father and daughter, exploring themes of family dynamics, corporate culture, and the search for meaning in life.

With All Hallows Eve as our backdrop for the evening, this unique gathering combines a masquerade ball with an eclectic mix of mystical workshops, magical vendors, enchanting entertainment, and sacred practices. Guests are invited to explore a world of wonder and transformation while donning their most enchanting masquerade attire. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or just curious about the mystical world, there’s something for everyone at this mystical gathering.
Soul Self Portrait: A Class in Finding Your Inner Guide Through Meditation and Art is workshop that offers you a moment to get in touch, or back in touch, with your creative soul through guided meditation. What you learn in the meditation will be used in your self portrait, alongside your choice of artistic mediums. Sarah Magida will be teaching collage techniques and beginner embroidery stitches, and all mediums are welcome to be brought to the workshop. Basic drawing supplies will be supplied.

Our Art Room (OAR) is a critique series and collective of women, femmes, and gender non-conforming artists in their early careers. This collective is an incubator for emerging and growing artists to expand networks, share resources, and provide accountability to each other in a community setting.
