Earrings are a defining form of jewelry and one that every aspiring jeweler should be well-versed in making. This one day workshop is for the beginning student who is interested in learning what goes into creating a simple pair of hand-sawn earrings. Students, with instructor assistance, will make a pair of earrings from start to finish; they will learn how to saw, file, texture, solder, and form earwires. The creative process that goes into designing unique work will be discussed through the presentation of contemporary and historic work. No experience necessary. Lunch and all materials provided.
