Gypsy Jazz musicians Sami Arefin and Zach Serleth, two of the American Jazz Manouche scenes staples, are best friends. They have travelled the country supporting different lead players such as Jason Anick, Dallas Vietty, and Michael Joseph Harris. When they are not learning and playing other peoples music, they have lots of fun together doing it for themselves. Sassi and the Whale is where Sami and Zach let their musical personalities really show. They play the tunes they love from around the world, arranged by themselves for the duo format, and constantly explore new sounds.
