Baltimore, MD: Mount Clare Museum, the city’s oldest house museum, has partnered with Maryland House and Garden Pilgrimage for their 2026 season! This tour will showcase southwest Baltimore where historic industrial buildings, workers' rowhouses, and cultural sites tell the city’s history. One shaped by a past that includes a deep connection to iron production and manufacturing, the railroad and immigration, citizenship and civil rights. That rich history is on full display at the sites on this pilgrimage tour! Baltimore MHGP - Mount Clare & Southwest Baltimore will take place May 30, 2026, and include:

Tour proceeds will support Mount Clare Museum’s stable restoration. Located in Carroll Park and built by the city of Baltimore in 1910 to house the police department's horses, the mounted unit of the Baltimore Police Department, started in 1888, was one of the oldest continuously operated mounted police divisions in the United States. Renovations of the stable building will include upgraded ADA bathrooms, catering kitchen, and building electrical and environmental systems. The building will be used by the museum for public programs and as a rental facility.
