Shea Kister presents remember? remember. Drawing on her study of trauma’s effects on memory and relationships, Kister enlists fragmentation, distortion, and dissociation through scale, surface, and mixed media. Explosions of spikes embed in and break out of her ceramic vessels and sculptures, giving form to emotions that resist description. The show maps memory through clouds imagined as the inside of the mind, and invites visitors to arrange and rearrange an interactive memory map of their own.
