Concert Artists of Baltimore announces the second concert in its Mansion Series — “Uno, Duo, Trio…” This program highlights the distinctive sonorities of strings and presents a unique opportunity to hear rarely-heard compositions for violin, viola, and cello. Maestro Polochick joins the string trio at the piano to close the concert with Brahms’ stormy yet intensely emotional final piano quartet. The program also features Ysaÿe’s Sonata for Solo Cello, Martinů’s Duo No. 2 for Violin and Viola, and Krzysztof Penderecki’s Trio for Violin, Viola, and Cello. Guest artists are violinist Anton Miller and violist Rita Porfiris of the Miller-Porfiris Duo, and cellist Gita Ladd.
