Seasonal cooking is one way to celebrate where you live, attune to the seasons, and eat for increased nutrition, health, and comfort. This class is a celebration of Spring veggies that are fresh, healthy, and local to our region. It is an opportunity to expand your cooking repertoire with both familiar and unfamiliar veggies in time for upcoming gatherings. If time allows, nutritionist, Angela Taylor can answer many questions regarding nutrition, weight loss, paleo, ketogenic, and gluten free diets. Leave with an inspired vision of food and health.
Jenny Murray is a filmmaker from Chicago. ¡Las Sandinistas!, her first feature documentary film, premiered in competition at SXSW 2018 where it won a SXSW "Special Jury Recognition" Award. The film went on to win both the top "Jury Prize – Best Film – New Directors Competition" and the "Audience Award for Best Foreign Documentary" at Sao Paulo International Film Festival, and also won the CineLatino Film Festival Audience Award. ¡Las Sandinistas!
Admission is free for members and children under two. Visitors enter for $5 per person. Located in the Atrium at Port Discovery (directly next door to the Museum’s main entrance). Hours announced on a monthly basis.

Maryland Center for the Arts & Music Land present BSO violist and series coordinator Peter Minkler, who will coach up to 4 students on the viola on a solo piece of their choice. All experience levels are welcome, elementary through high school. He is also looking for advanced violin, viola, and cello students to form a chamber group to perform following the class. Teachers, parents, friends, and family are welcome to observe the master class and concert. Known as “The Mighty Atom,” Joseph Greenstein was the greatest strongman who ever lived – in a story that parallels that of Harry Houdini, this documentary film showcases an amazing tale of human potential that will have audiences cheering for “The Mighty Atom.” Filmmaker Steven Greenstein will join us following the screening for a talk back session with the audience.
Pro Musica Rara, Baltimore’s premier early music ensemble, presents its annual concert in celebration of Johann Sebastian Bach. The concert focuses on Bach’s craft and emotional impact. The program includes the Musical Offering, Violin Concerto in E Major, selections from the Goldberg Variations, and Johann Goldberg’s Trio Sonata in C Major. Players are Sara Nichols, flute; Greg Mulligan, Ivan Stefanovic, and Audrey Wright, violin; Renata Falkner, viola; and PMR Artistic Director Allen Whear, cello.

This introductory workshop is designed to give potential students an opportunity to experience what a class is like before committing to a full course.
Through simple, fun and supportive games, participants will explore basic concepts like playfulness, listening and agreement – all in a safe and comfortable group setting geared specifically toward those who are new to improv.
