Reverberations: Disruption and Healing Through the Hands of Elizabeth Talford Scott invites visitors to experience the artworks of Elizabeth Talford Scott (1916–2011). A Baltimore quilt artist, Talford Scott used quilts and other textiles to tell stories and preserve memories, incorporating stones, buttons, sequins and other unconventional objects in heavily layered surfaces.

Brush up your sewing skills or try your hand at a new craft over drinks at April’s Free First Thursday. Participants decorate their own quilt square while learning the basics of quilting. Local quilt enthusiasts will join to provide guidance and ideas, and share some of their current projects. Participants are encouraged to bring their own scrap fabrics or choose from an assortment of provided materials. Museum admission is free all day for Free First Thursday.
