Party like it’s 1599! Join fellow Shakespeare fans for an evening of Elizabethan delights. Enjoy themed food and drink, carnivalesque entertainment, and silent auction while celebrating the inauguration of BSF’s one-of-a-kind early modern stage in the heart of Hampden. Guests are encouraged to dress in black tie or their Elizabethan finest. Gala: 7-10pm; Afterparty and Bawdy Good Fun: 9pm-Midnight. Proceeds to benefit BSF’s ongoing programs in Baltimore City.

Grammy Award winning soprano Leona Mitchell is one of America’s most beloved and celebrated sopranos, having spent 18 seasons as a leading spinto soprano at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. Her program will feature works by Handel, Rodrigo, Duparc, Dvorak, Satie, Bizet and more, and will be followed by a reception. She will be joined by pianist Nancy Beith.
A reception will follow the performance.
A grand evening featuring acclaimed piano duo Anderson & Roe. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the HCC All-Steinway Initiative. Evening begins with a pre-concert reception, followed by a 7:30 p.m. concert, and concluding with a meet the artists after the concert. September 28 6 p.m. Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center.
View and purchase paintings of Mount Vernon Place by members of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association (MAPAPA). During the summer months, artists from the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association bring their easels to Mount Vernon Place to capture its magnificent history, landscape, and architecture. For the September show, the en plein air artists ("en plein air" refers to painting outdoors) will display their work for view and purchase in the enclosed courtyard of the Garrett Jacobs Mansion. Tickets include a wine and cheese reception that will accompany the exhibition.
