Urban Arts Leadership

Urban Arts Leadership (UAL), the flagship program of the GBCA’s equity and inclusion efforts, has been operating for nearly a decade. The initiative is a workforce development fellowship awarded to high-achieving emerging leaders of color, and it champions policies and practices of cultural equity that empower a just, inclusive, equitable nation.

Working to address systemic barriers to equity, the program also focuses on tools and training for participating Host cultural organizations aimed at strengthening their ability to successfully recruit, hire, and retain a more diverse workforce.
