Trick-or-Treaters of all ages are invited to join the B&O Railroad Museum for a sensory inclusive Halloween experience! Participants will make their way around the Roundhouse collecting candy, stickers, toys, fidgets, and more! The Pennsylvania Avenue Black Arts & Entertainment District will present its culminating marquee event of the year, The Soul Soirée – A Night of Music & Poetry, on Saturday, October 25th, from 6pm to 10pm. Join us for this highly anticipated evening set to take place at Maryland’s State Theatre, Baltimore Center Stage, as a part of their Shared Space Initiative. The Soul Soirée is more than an event—it’s a testament to the power of Black creativity and cultural legacy in Baltimore.

Enjoy these two stellar performers in an intimate space or via livestream. Vibraphonist and multi-instrumentalist Warren Wolf is an international touring musician, recording artist, and music professor at Peabody Conservatory and San Francisco Conservatory. Classically trained Helen Sung is an acclaimed jazz pianist, composer, recording artist, and a Guggenheim Fellow. There will be light refreshments and an opportunity to meet the performers after the show. Free parking. This is a benefit concert to support the peace and social justice work of Stony Run Friends (Quaker) Meeting.

Columbia Pro Cantare opens its 49th season Saturday, October 25, 7:30 PM, with a concert celebrating the musical influence of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor on the occasion of his 150th birthday year. The highly acclaimed British composer, born of a Sierra Leone doctor and an English mother, Coleridge-Taylor set Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s epic poem Hiawatha to music, and brought African music to English symphonic halls in choral and symphonic works. The program includes music by British and American composers including Amy Beach and Dan Forrest.

The Making of America’s Greatest Classical Architect with Charlie Duff, Planner and Developer based in Baltimore

Over six weeks, you will develop the core skills needed to host and perform a professional showcase of improv comedy. Highwire Improv’s expert instructors will be with you every step of the way, holding the space to make silly choices, explore comedy, and learn how to create art together. By the end of the class, you will be an ensemble ready to host and put on a full student showcase!
