Explore the alien landscape of 25th century music with composer, pianist and Baker Artist Awardee, Scott Patterson. His compositions for solo piano pulse with future forward melodies that incorporate the classical, soul and rock music of our present day and generations to come.
Scott’s luxuriant compositions will be performed on a gorgeous Knabe piano crafted in Baltimore by the Wm. Knabe & Co. 140 years ago. This will be the Knabe’s official debut at The Peale Center since relocating from the Baltimore Museum of Industry in 2018.
Mipso is born from North Carolina’s broad range of disparate musical influences. Their distinctly unique sound an undeniable alchemy of the historical musical traditions of the rural south and their progressive home of Chapel Hill.
Calla Fuqua is absolutely thrilled to be back at Germanos! She absolutely loves the stage. She will be singing a set of songs about change and new beginnings. Change can be beautiful, brutal, confusing. Change forces us to grow as people. Learn to embrace change with Calla’s amazing performance of contemporary musical theatre songs.
Following 2018’s sold-out show celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love, Baltimore’s psychedelic rockers, Fractal Cat, return to the Creative Alliance on August 9, 2019 for an unforgettable evening celebrating the music that defined a generation. From the first man on the moon to half a million strong at Woodstock, the band performs songs that defined the watershed moments of 1969.

The third show of Rapid Lemon Productions’ 2019 “Season of Belief” is a collaboration with the Baltimore Playwrights Festival: CRUSADE, a world premiere by local playwright Bruce Bonafede, directed by Timoth David Copney.
Bovine Social Club has been lighting up audiences with their original music in listening rooms, famed coffee houses, theaters, and amphitheaters from Vermont to Virginia since 2012. Their unique blend of folk music is informed by Folk, Celtic, Old-time, Gospel, Alt-Country, and Bluegrass vocabularies. Formed on the banks of the Delaware River, the band’s rotating lineup of seasoned musicians backs the thoughtful lyrics of vocalist, philosopher, memoirist and former Franciscan brother, Samuel Saint Thomas.

Tonight's guest: Secretary Of Shade DDm curates aggressive raps, animated beats, and action packed personality into one unique listening experience. Citing Rick Ross and Missy Elliott as inspirations, the former battle rapper has opened for Dan Deacon, Big Freedia, Miike Snow, and Cupcakke.
We might be a bit biased, but we think Nathan & The Zydeco Cha-Chas are one of the most dynamic zydeco bands on the planet. Led by deeply soulful Nathan Williams, the Cha-Chas are zydeco band with a some serious blues chops whose sound is deeply traditional and also uniquely their own.
Jack Blount is a fiddler, banjoist, singer and scholar based in Takoma Park, MD. He has studied with modern masters of old-time music and venerates his racial and ethnic heritage through his approach to music and its history. He received his BA in Ethnomusicology from Hamilton College and has shared his music and research at the Smithsonian Inst. and Museum of Fine Arts in Boston among others. Please join us on August 11th for an intimate concert and homemade ice cream social following.
Justin Duenne is an Americana artist that can be described as Indiana Roots Music. The songs are meaningful representations of love lost and love gained in the pursuit of the harmony between the mystical and mundane. While originally from the Cincinnati, OH area, Justin Duenne now calls Indianapolis home. With influences like Neil Young, Willie Nelson, The Eagles, and Wilco, the sound tends to draw from traditional folk and country music with a contemporary bent.
He’s back! Come celebrate the 15 year anniversary of Van Hunt’s self-titled debut album featuring the Grammy Nominated single “Dust”. Van Hunt along with accompanying musicians, will perform his entire debut album from start to finish along with more recent favorites.

Project P.S. is a completely self-contained 45-60 minute multi-sensory experiences for a group of up to five people. Subjects needed. With transfixing power and deft beauty, Korean master drummer Kim So Ra leads an astounding quartet through traditional and not so traditional music.
A multi-award winning Korean traditional percussionist, composer, and ambassador of Honam Province Jeongeup folk music, Kim So Ra is one of the most skilled and prominent Janggu (Korean double-headed drum) players in Korea. Kim is known for her genre-bending performances combining Korean traditional sounds with creative, charismatic and modern interpretations.
The Baltimore Improv Group has improv comedy shows every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7, 8 & 9 p.m. All Thursday shows are free. Friday and Saturday shows are $10.
