Station North Art Walk
Join us for the final Art Walk of 2022, an evening of simultaneous, exhibitions, performances, and special events in the Station North Arts District. Pick up a map at the Charles Theatre lobby and create your own self-guided tour.
The event is free, we just ask that you register for a ticket so we can track attendance, and share email updates and specials.
This year marks twenty years of Station North, and we're celebrating all summer long on the final Friday of each month. Our September Art Walk is district-wide, featuring 20+ venues. Stay tuned for more information.

VARIATIONS ON CHANGE - Baltimore's 18th annual ten-minute play festival
Rapid Lemon Productions will close their 11th season with an evening of 12 world premiere short plays by local authors, Variations on Change. Staged each year since 2005, The Variations Project is an annual highlight of the Baltimore theatrical calendar. Audiences who attend in person will have the opportunity to vote to select the theme for the 2023 Variations Project.
If It Ain't Baroque Don't Fix It
Bach in Baltimore kicks off its 35th Anniversary Season with a concert featuring two musical forms that define Baroque Period Music. The concert opens with Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 1 in C Major, a masterwork in Baroque counterpoint, a technique that uses multiple melodies to play simultaneously, creating contrast, highlight, and interplay. Bach excelled at counterpoint, one of the many reasons his music stands the test of time. A Baroque cantata will close the concert. Bach in Baltimore is one of the only music ensembles that regularly performs Bach’s cantatas.

International Edgar Allan Poe Festival and Awards
Poe Baltimore will host the fifth annual International Edgar Allan Poe Festival and Awards (Poe Fest International) with IN-PERSON and virtual events, October 8th- 9th, 2022, featuring vendors, performances, tours, and The Black Cat Ball. This year’s events commemorate the 173rd anniversary of Edgar Allan Poe’s death.*
The Dinner Detective Comedy Murder Mystery Dinner Show
America’s largest interactive comedy murder mystery dinner theatre show is now playing! Solve a hilarious mystery while you feast on a fantastic dinner. Just beware! The culprit is hiding in plain sight somewhere in the room, and you may find yourself as a Prime Suspect before you know it!
Join us for an event that is very different from a traditional murder mystery dinner show. Our actors are not dressed in costume and are hidden in the audience! This results in a fun, social and interactive evening suitable for all adults.
Candlelight Concert Society’s Brentano String Quartet
The Brentano String Quartet, which has performed across five continents, and clarinetist Alexander Fiterstein, winner of the Avery Fischer Career Grant Award and director of winds at Maryland’s Peabody Conservatory, will join forces to perform chamber music including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet. The concert is part of the Candlelight Concert Society’s 50th-anniversary season.
Evensong for the Commemoration of Indigenous Peoples Day
Indigenous Peoples Day is commemorated with a musical offering featuring choral music of Charles Shadle, Choctaw Nation, and Jerod Impichchaachaaha’ Tate, Chickasaw Nation.
The event is free and occurs at St. David's Episcopal Church, 4700 Roland Avenue, Baltimore, MD. Doors open at 4:00 pm. Masks are encouraged.

Symphony in the City: Pratt Library
Coming to the Central Library on Wednesday, September 14, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra brings the Orchestra out of the concert hall and into the community for its Symphony in the City series! Featuring Maestro Jonathan Rush.

World of Dance

40 years after his first appearance on the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra podium, the incomparable Jack Everly brings back his favorite works from a career that has straddled the highest levels of Broadway, ballet, and the concert halls of the country. With Troupe Vertigo, this kickoff to Everly’s final season as Principal Pops Conductor is sure to be Jacktacular!
This performance will also take place on Thu., Oct 13 at 8 pm at The Musice Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda, Md.
Taste of Vienna
Join us on Sunday 16 October at 3:30 pm for Pro Musica Rara’s Taste of Vienna. The concert will take place at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
This program presents world-renowned early music specialists Christoph Hammer, fortepiano and Cynthia Roberts, violin. The program includes sonatas by Mozart, Schubert and Beethoven.
Pro Musica Rara, Baltimore's “premier early music ensemble”, is a period instrument chamber music ensemble performing baroque, classical, and early romantic repertoire. There will be a pre-concert presentation at 2:30.
