Local Art Gallery Seeks Intern

Gallery/Marketing Intern:

Renaissance Fine Arts is seeking an enthusiastic, detail oriented intern to join our gallery team. The intern will play an active role in supporting the gallery in various aspects of daily operations including marketing. This is a wonderful opportunity for a highly motivated individual looking to learn about the inner-workings of an art gallery. The internship is unpaid and part-tim meeting 2-3 times a week during the Fall semester with the possibility of extending into the Spring semester.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with content management for gallery website and online initiatives
  • Assist with mailings, filing, data entry
  • Assist with maintaining client and email database
  • Photo editing with Photoshop
  • Some art handling including wrapping art, loading art in and out of the gallery
  • Special Projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Interest in the arts
  • Creative self-starter with the ability to work well with a team and independently
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written along with editing skills
  • High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
  • Computer proficiency including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with social media platforms

This internship is unpaid. Must have your own transportation.
