Young Audiences seeks Education Associate (part-time)

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, if not meticulous, a self starter and have excellent communication and customer service skills. A Bachelor's Degree or higher is preferred. Experience in education or arts programming or teaching experience in the schools is preferred. Experience in arts integration a plus.

Tasks/Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with coordination and implementation of educational programs such as: The Teaching Artist Institute (TAI), and statewide Artist-in-Residence programs
  • Fielding initial calls
  • Setting up education director's calendar
  • Coordinating meetings and interviews
  • Organizing, filing, and maintaining documentation for programs
  • Preparing residency evaluation and orientation forms
  • Maintaining communication with teaching artists
  • Going on site visits to photograph, gather quotes, and document outcomes of programs
  • Collecting reports and analyzing data for grants that supplement programs
  • Assisting and facilitating curriculum development and teacher resource guides
  • Representing YA at select showcases throughout the year.
  • Being familiar with Young Audiences school programs in order to be able to discuss them with school liaison and be able to answer their program questions.
  • Working with the YA staff as needed on special projects
