Baltimore Choral Arts seeks Box Office Manager

Baltimore Choral Arts is seeking a part-time Box Office Manager.

Baltimore Choral Arts is one of Maryland’s premier professional cultural institutions. Led by Music Director Tom Hall, the Emmy Award winning chorus performs throughout the mid-Atlantic region, as well as in Washington, DC, New York, and Europe. The chorus is featured regularly in performances with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and its commitment to education and outreach programs into the community touch thousands of school children, senior citizens and others who could not afford to attend a concert.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee all Box Office procedures and operations relating to ticket sales, including assigning seat locations to subscribers and single ticket buyers for five performances each season.

Process and mail all subscription and single ticket orders that are generated by phone, website or mail.

Manage Wintix ticketing system including input of season packages, concert information, and seating charts; enter all ticket sales; and generate weekly ticket sales reports.

The Box Office Manager will also perform other duties as needed. It is understood that there will be occasional evening and weekend work required as part of the job responsibilities including presence at the five concerts presented by Baltimore Choral Arts as well as the Ruby Cabaret fundraiser.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and achieve deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills; writing and proofreading.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and Email.
  • Good analytical and customer service skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working in an arts organization box office a plus.

This is a part-time hourly paid permanent position with normal business hours Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 4 pm, with flexibility needed to work additional hours in weeks leading up to concerts, as well as serving as Box Office Manager at 5 performances during the concert season and the Ruby Cabaret fundraiser.
