The Vagabond Players, America's oldest continuously performing little theatre, seeks part-time box office/front-of-house staff. Duties include:

  • Staffing the box office for performances;

  • Prepping the Theatre before performances;

  • Setting up Intermission refreshments; and

  • Handling Theatre voicemail

The position is available beginning with our January, 2016, show.

Performances are on Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00pm and on Sundays at 2:00pm; there is one Thursday evening performance during each run. Duty hours start ninety minutes before curtain and run through the end of Intermission (a total of 2.5-3 hours for each performance).

Theatre voicemail is to be monitored during the week between performances. Calls are to be returned as soon as possible, outside of regular box office hours. Ticket orders to be taken over the phone (our on-line ticketing system is accessible from any Internet-connected computer).

Pay is $15 per performance worked. In addition, we pay $100 for the run of each show, for handling Theatre voicemail.

Our preference is for one person to take this position, but we will consider splitting it between two. Familiarity with on-line ticketing systems is a plus, but we will train. The Theatre is located at 806 S. Broadway in Baltimore's Fells' Point.
