We are excited to announce the Bern Unit’s new radical reading collective!! What better way to dance on the ashes of the old world run by billionaires and sweep them into the dustbin of history than to strengthen community knowledge! Join our new reading group and discuss how to build collective power in the time of coronavirus and beyond (we have so much material to work with!) We’ll be tackling readings and videos from thinkers across the globe and brainstorming practical application in this incredible moment in human history.

URecFit Group Exercise goes online! All classes will be available for registration on URecFit Live. You are not required to be a URecFit member to sign up! Registration will remain open until the group exercise class begins. We recommend registering and joining the class 10 minuters prior to start time to ensure your audio and visual components are working properly. We will be using Microsoft Teams as our platform for delivery. Each instance has a unique Teams link that you will see at the bottom of your confirmation email.

The Be Here: Baltimore storytelling program is a new way to discover the people and places of the city. To date, we have shared more than 1,500 stories: online, at the Peale Center, and in Baltimore’s communities. PORTRAITS OF LIFE: Once Upon A Story

In this Ekphrastic exhibit, the paintings of Rimpo and Weiner-Reed will inspire written word, poetic, and musical compositions from viewers. The community is invited and encouraged to participate in-person in the special events scheduled throughout the exhibit for written word readings and musical presentations.

Bring your own blanket & booze and enjoy weekly summer concerts on the Center Plaza lawn. Some weeks will feature local food trucks and pop-up vendors, and some might be more of a dance party.

BNHA 3rd Annual History Through Arts Competition

The Baltimore National Heritage Area (BNHA) invites Baltimore City youth to participate in our 3rd Annual History Through Arts Competition. The purpose of this contest is to engage City youth in an art exhibit showcasing their unique talents while also expressing their view of life in Baltimore City. The expectation is that the artwork will reflect Baltimore’s historic people, places, significant architecture or represent a historical event.
