Baltimore Think-a-thon

Maryland Institute College of Art and GBCA invite you to the seventh annual Baltimore Think-a-thon!

If you believe in the power of the arts and humanities to take on the challenges facing Baltimore, make your voice heard at this intensive “think and do” event. Join other brilliant, compassionate artists, scholars, and activists for a day of visionary ideas, discussion, and problem-solving. The issues we address will be suggested by you and other participants.

Now in its seventh year, the Baltimore Think-a-thon brings together creative thinkers, practitioners, and activists from throughout the region to network, brainstorm, and collaborate on solutions to benefit Baltimore residents.

Hosted by Dr. Sheri Parks, MICA Vice-President of Strategic Initiatives, the day will include a plenary, breakout sessions, and remarks from:

Carol Bebelle, Co-Founder & Executive Director, Ashe Cultural Arts Center

Lady Brion, Artist, Writer, & Cultural Curator, Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle

Jeannie Howe, Executive Director, Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance

Samuel Hoi, MICA President

Morning coffee & pastries, lunch, and afternoon snacks will be served.

Suggest a topic! Registered participants may submit challenges or ideas for discussion.
