RBC EMERGING ARTIST RESIDENCY GRANT

RBC EMERGING ARTIST RESIDENCY GRANT

The Allegany Arts Council has an Emerging Artist Residency grant which is funded by RBC Wealth Management. We are looking for talented emerging artists to come to Allegany County to spend eight weeks of the summer making art, giving workshops and teaching classes. We are looking for a maximum level of community engagement so the Emerging Artist has the highest visibility possible.

The grant is $2500. This can be used by the artist for any expenses. The Allegany Arts Council will try to help artists reduce expenses by finding a local host, but we cannot promise this option will be available.

The timing of the residency is flexible, but it must take place between May 30 and Sept. 1.

We are seeking an artist for summer 2017 or 2018.

To apply:

Artists must send the following materials:

1) A 1 page proposal of what sort of artwork, workshops, classes or community engagement they would do in Allegany County

2) A resume

3) At least 6 digital samples of their work or a link to a website where the work can be easily seen

4) An artist statement

Application materials can be sent to:
