GBCA Updates

Executive Director's Letter
June 28, 2016

Greetings! I am spending a few days attending the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond seminar on Undoing Racism. Thank you to the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation for making this important training available to so many folks in the area’s cultural community.

In the meantime, here are a few updates from GBCA:
This Thursday, GBCA continues SpaceFinder Baltimore Working Sessions for Venues & Spaces where we provide hands on technical support in listing spaces for SpaceFinder Baltimore, a free online tool designed to pair event rental space with potential renters.

SpaceFinder has been established in cities like Chicago, Austin, Philadelphia, New York, and more! By bringing SpaceFinder to our city we provide a valuable resource, serving the demand for spaces that can accommodate performances, exhibitions, rehearsals, film shoots, photography, special events, meetings, auditions, readings, and other events.

Interested in listing your venue or space for free?
Visit www.SpaceFinderBaltimore.org and be apart of our growing list of venues that will be unveiled during the SpaceFinder Baltimore launch in mid-July.

Attention GBCA members
Artscape is just two weeks away and there is still time to get involved. By volunteering at our Culture Tent you can give your organization visibility at America's largest free outdoor arts festival. For members who are interested in performing at our tent, there are a few slots left. If you are a GBCA member and would like to volunteer or participate in our Culture Tent please email Janica Alston at [email protected].

All the best,
Jeannie
