Thanks To All Who Visited Us At Artscape

I hope you had a chance to visit the GBCA Culture Tent during Artscapelast weekend. GBCA members who performed included the incredible Baltimore Dance Crews Project, Dance Baltimore, Manneqart, The Collective, Center for the Arts, Baltimore Jazz Alliance, MuseWeb, Center for the Arts, Timmy Reed, Grandmother Edna, and Jubilee Arts! Thank you to the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts for a job well done and for making it possible to showcase our GBCA members.

This Monday evening, July 25th is the joint GBCA and MD Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts information session about the upcoming changes to over time rules. These changes will have a far-reaching impact on cultural organizations that have regular after-hours events, performances, and exhibitions. If you are an artist working another job to subsidize your creative practice, a business owner, or leader at an area nonprofit, this is your chance to learn more and start planning for the upcoming changes. David Gray Wright, Esq., an attorney in Kahn, Smith & Collins, P.A.'s labor and employment practice, will present.

Finally, a reminder that there are only two weeks left to apply for a 2016 Rubys Artist Project Grant for visual or literary arts.

Best,
Jeannie

P.S. Interested in hosting a 2017 Urban Arts Leadership Program Fellow? The application for 2016/17 Partner/Host Organizations will be available online on July 22, 2016.
