Election Day Is Just Around The Corner

Executive Director's Letter
September 27, 2016

With the first 2016 presidential debate in our rearview mirror, Election Day is just around the corner. The drama of last night’s match up between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton reinforces the critical need for EVERYONE to be involved in the electoral process. If you haven’t done so already, it is essential that you register to vote in the general election. And it’s not just the presidential race; we will also be choosing state and local representation, including Baltimore’s Mayor. Here’s some key voting information:

October 18, 9pm is the deadline to register to vote in the 2016 General Election

October 27 – November 3, 8am-8pm are the Early Voting dates

November 8, 7am-8pm is Election Day

For additional resources regarding your right and responsibility to vote, visit the Citizen Artist Baltimore resources page, and please share it with a friend.

Congratulations to Baltimore Arts Realty Corporation and Director Will Holman on the launch of Open Works. What a spectacular new addition to the creative community and the neighborhood. If you missed the launch last weekend you can find out more information from their website.

This is Baltimore Innovation Week 2016, presented by 14 West, Technical.ly’s fifth annual weeklong celebration of technology and innovation happening through October 1, 2016. While the entire week is chock-full of interesting technology and business knowledge sharing, you might be particularly interested in the conference’s creative track.

All the best,
Jeannie
