Kenneth C Clemons is a graduate of the Urban Arts Leadership Fellowship Cohort2017… and he’s is at it again! Great work! *WORK IN PROGRESS* Two Baltimore artists are creating a "Wall of Wisdom" on North Avenue near Coppin State University, honoring thought leaders with ties to Baltimore or Maryland. Landry Randriamandroso, the lead artist and Maryland Institute College of Art M.A. graduate, has teamed with Coppin graduate Kenneth C. Clemons to create six connected portraits: Abolitionist Frederick Douglass, Catholic educator Elizabeth Ann Seton, educator Fanny Coppin, Hopkins orthopedic doctor William S. Baer, handicapped advocate Robert W. Coleman, and Arctic explorer Matthew Henson. Randriamandroso said he envisioned the project as an unfolded accordion-style "book." The mural is sponsored by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, in collaboration with the Episcopal Housing Corporation and the Robert W. Coleman Community Association.
