Are you an organization within the arts sector that cares about diversity, equity, and inclusion? Do you want to enhance your workforce with balanced, just, and talented leadership from emerging trailblazers that reflect the face of the area that you serve? If so, GBCA’s Urban Arts Leadership may be the answer to your organizational needs.

Urban Arts Leadership is a program of the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance. It exists to connect a talented and diverse pool of emerging leaders with arts organizations, arts service organizations, and art driven businesses that are committed to equity and inclusion.

About the Program

Urban Arts Leadership diversifies and strengthens arts organizations by connecting emerging arts administrators to resources and professional development with a particular focus on racial equity and inclusion. The program provides information, training, and helps participants develop new and expanded networks. It is open to all participants but targets college seniors and recent graduates.

The development of UAL is a fellowship experience and has been guided by community input. The process consists of personal development training workshops and professional short-term placements within arts sector host organizations for each Urban Arts Leadership Fellow.

Participation as an Urban Arts Leadership Host Organization is an excellent way for organizations to strengthen and diversify management and leadership talent.

The Urban Arts Leadership (UAL) is now accepting applications from arts sector organizations who want to host an Urban Arts Leadership Fellow from its next cohort. For more information and to submit an application, please visit www.baltimoreculture.org/UAL .The program is open to arts sector organizations within the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance service area and beyond.
