MICA Engaged Alumni Grant

MICA Engaged Alumni Grant

The Office of Community Engagement believes that artists and designers are vital to creating and sustaining vibrant, equitable, and thriving communities. MICA Alumni are an important part of that equation and The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) would like to invite those who are eligible to apply for the Engaged Alumni Grant.

The Engaged Alumni Grant is available to MICA graduates who have been out of school for at least two years and are doing community-engaged work in the Baltimore area. Preference will be given to projects that have not received prior support from the Office of Community Engagement. Eligible projects should engage the MICA Alumni in collaboration with community to meet a particular need or to pursue a desired outcome. Grants may be used to launch a new project or to strengthen/expand an existing one. Applicants may request up to $5,000 dollars. Awarded funding may be utilized for expenses such as materials, supplies, entrance fees, and transportation that are integral to the development, implementation, or evaluation of qualifying projects. Up to 25% of your total funding request may be used to provide an honorarium/stipend for guest lecturers or workshop facilitators.

Please visit our website (www.mica.edu/grants) for more information and the list of the downloadable applicable materials that must be submitted electronically to the OCE office by 11:59 PM on March 31st. Please send your completed application as a single PDF to [email protected].
If you have any questions please email us at [email protected].
