Call to Artists: Towson Framing Gallery Art & Design Opportunity

SUMMARY:
We are seeking acquisition of 2D and/or 3D works of art including but not limited to work on canvas or paper, mixed media, photography, pottery, sculpture, etc., to reflect the contemporary or historical character of Hunt Valley, Owings Mills, Bel Air, and Northern Baltimore County. Works embodying the “spirit of Maryland” will be considered. Works will be permanently displayed in office and public reception areas.

ELIGIBILITY:
Open to all artists.

BUDGET:

Most works in 2D format will be acquired through a high res jpeg provided by artist to Towson Framing Gallery (TFG). For works chosen in final cut, all reproduction and framing cost will be assumed by Towson Framing Gallery. An honorarium will be paid to artist for reproduction right of chosen material. 3D works will be considered for acquisition and artist compensated. Commission work may also be considered.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Artists will submit qualifications as instructed below. Towson Framing Gallery will review submissions and recommend artwork to client for purchase. Artists whose works are chosen will be contacted to deliver their high res jpeg files electronically via dropbox, or artists who are considered for 3D work or commission will be contacted for further instruction and delivery in the month of September.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:
To be considered please provide the following:
*Letter of interest with description of artwork in pdf format.
*Short Bio
*Images of 3-12 works being submitted for possible acquisition (in Power Point format) Include image ID info within slides (title, dimensions, date, medium, original value). These slides must be at least 300 dpi. Please provide the maximum range of reproduction size.
*Contact info, artist name and address, phone, email.
