Call for Artists: Icebreaker 6 Exhibition

Entry Fee (Ice Cube Gallery Entry Fee): $35.00

The sixth annual juried exhibition sponsored by Ice Cube Gallery, a contemporary artist-run gallery located in the River North Arts District of Denver.

The exhibit has an open theme and artists of every medium are encouraged to enter.

Juror: LAUREN WRIGHT Curator and Artistic Director for the Biennial of the Americas, former curator at Turner Contemporary in Margate, UK. Wright has also developed independent curatorial projects for Tate Modern and served as Asisstant Director for Furtherfield.org, a media arts organization focused on technology and social change.

Entries must be received by November 1, 2014.

Entry fee is $35.00 and entitles each artist to enter up to 4 images. Entry fee does not guarantee acceptance into the show.

IMPORTANT DATES

Submission deadline: November 1

Accepted Entries Notified Via Email: November 18

Artwork received: December 20 & 27, 12-5pm, January 2-3, 12-5 pm

Exhibit dates: January 8-31, 2015

Opening reception: January 9, 6-9 pm

Artwork pick-up: January 31, 5-7 pm, February 1, 9am-12pm

Ice Cube Gallery retains a 25% commission on works sold during the exhibition.

Artwork must be ready to hang or display. Installation or works of multiple pieces must be accompanied by a detailed diagram. Artists submitting time based media must be able to provide their own equipment. Artists may be asked to install complex works. Maximum weight is 50 lbs.

Artist is responsible for costs of shipping. Return shipping label is to be included with work.

Shipped works can only be received during the following times:12/20: 12-5 pm, 12/ 27: 12-5 pm, 1/2/2015: 12-5 pm 1/3/2015: 12-5 pm

Juror has the right to reject any work that does not meet quality standards for the exhibit, or is not identical to work juried from digital images.

All artworks must remain on display in the gallery during the entire show for the period of 1/8/15 – 1/31/15.
