MECU Neighborhood Event Grant

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts announces the recipients of the MECU Neighborhood Event Grants. For 2015, 116 neighborhood associations and community-based nonprofit organizations were selected to receive funding of up to $1,000. The program awards organizations with cash grants for the purpose of producing special events, such as festivals, back-to-school rallies, block parties and health fairs. The MECU Neighborhood Event Grants program is supported by MECU: Baltimore’s Credit Union and administered by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts. Additional support was provided by the Baltimore City Department of Housing and Community Development.

“MECU is proud of its sponsorship of the Neighborhood Event Grants. This is the fourth year we have helped so many of our community organizations in Baltimore reach the people they serve,” said Herman Williams Jr., Chairman of the Board. “As Baltimore’s Credit Union, we have a commitment to help develop strong communities and this grant program lets us reach every corner of the City.”
