Executive Director's Letter
November 3, 2015

Congratulations to the 2015 Rubys Artist Project grantees in literary and visual arts. This group of talented artists reflect the wide range of excellent creative work being produced right here in our region. This cycle's grantees are: poet James Arthur; writer/illustrator Dale Beran; screenwriter Ericka Blount Danois; visual artist Marian Glebes; writer Jen Grow; photographer Nate Larson; visual artist Tony Shore; and painter Stephen Towns. Grant supported projects include a book of poetry, photography of Baltimore residents, fiction writing, quilting, and black velvet paintings(!).

All of the artist projects will develop over the course of the next 12 months and include opportunities for public engagement such as readings and exhibitions. Watch the Rubys event page for information on upcoming events.

Calling all artists! Have you created your 2016 Baker portfolio yet? There is no time like the present. Don’t be left out of this amazing collection of the area’s most talented artists. Thousands of people from around the world visit the Baker site each year to curate shows, create partnerships, connect with artists, and collect work.

Happy fall,
Jeannie
