Young Audiences offers Professional Development Arts Integration Workshop for Artists and Teaching Artists

Making the Common Core Friendly, Meaningful and Fun

Led by Laura Zam, Teaching Artist Institute co-facilitator

At the heart of a teaching artist's practice is a personal relationship to art itself. And yet, this often feels compromised as we conform to schools, standards, and testing. Can school-based work be more artistically satisfying—not just for the kids but for you? This workshop—designed for both new and experienced teaching artists—breaks down the Common Core, making it easy to master. Just as importantly, it helps teaching artists connect this content to the deepest levels of their artistry. You'll never think of arts integration in the same way again.
