How about plans for the fall? Applications for the Fall 2018 Urban Arts Leadership Fellowship are now being accepted. If you are a recent or soon-to-be college graduate with an interest in arts administration this rigorous program that includes training and work place experience may be for you. With a focus on people of color and individuals from backgrounds not sufficiently represented in the cultural workforce, this program dives deep into equity and inclusion. Applications are being accepted through May 26th. Watch for the announcements for information sessions on local college campuses and right here at the Motor House.
And if you were thinking about things to do this month, the celebration of Baker Artist Portfolio Finalists continues with a literary reading this week on Thursday, April 5th at Bird in Hand featuring writers Leslie Harrison, Dora Malech, Timmy Reed, Jen Michalski and Jung Yun. There will also be a special exhibition of the visual arts finalists at the Peale Museum on April 11th. Don’t miss the chance to see and hear from these talented artists
As if that weren’t spectacular enough, we hope you will join us as the Urban Arts Leadership Program hosts an Arts Mixer on April 13th with Arts Administrators of Color DMV. This special networking opportunity can connect you with other professionals of color from Baltimore and throughout the region.
Wow, there is so much to get excited about!
