BMA Seeks AAAPI Curatorial Intern

The Arts of Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the Pacific Islands (AAAPI) Department is seeking a Fall Intern to assist in various projects and tasks. The intern should expect to learn aspects of collections management, research, and archiving.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working in TMS (The Museum System) database
  • Researching artwork and exhibitions
  • Ensure object files are updated/filed correctly

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Object Management Database experience a plus
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Good research, writing and communications skills
  • Familiarity with African or Asian art preferred
  • Must be able to commit 10-15 hours per week
