Auditions for 2020 Season at Baltimore Shakespeare Factory

Baltimore Shakespeare Factory is seeking actors for three shows of our 2020 season: King Lear (in Original Shakespearean Pronunciation), Much Ado About Nothing, and All's Well That Ends Well.

Base pay is $400, with additional stipends provided for matinee performances.

Performers of all gender identities and ethnicities are encouraged to submit.

BSF Seeks High School and College Actors for Paid Performance Internships!

Auditions are open for Baltimore Shakespeare Factory’s 2020 Performance Internships!

An ideal candidate should be willing to approach the text openly and have an interest in theater, literature, rhetoric, or performance. Additionally, they should have a reliable ability to attend rehearsals at our theater in our space in the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore. Rehearsals are held evenings and weekends.

Auditions for title role in King Lear

Baltimore Shakespeare Factory seeks actors for the title role in our 2020 Original Shakespeare Pronunciation production of King Lear (April 3-26, 2020).

​Auditions will be held on Sunday, June 30 from 5--8 pm and on Monday, July 1 from 6-9 pm. at St. Mary's Community Center, 3900 Roland Avenue, 21211.

Callbacks (if needed) will be held the following week.

This audition is ONLY for the role of King Lear-- all other roles will be cast at a later date.

Handel Choir of Baltimore Community Chorister Auditions

Handel Choir of Baltimore seeks community chorister for all voice parts to audition for its 2019-2020 season. Auditions will be held May 24 from 7-10 pm and May 25 from 10 am-3 pm at the Church of the Holy Comforter, 130 W. Seminary Avenue, Lutherville, MD 21093.

In addition to our yearly period instrument performance of "Messiah", our repertoire will include "Rachmaninoff Vespers" and "Song of the Birds." Concert dates and other season details at www.handelchoir.org.

BSF Seeks Actors for 2018-19 Education Tour

The Baltimore Shakespeare Factory is pleased to announce auditions for our 2018/19 educational shows, Shakespeare’s Macbeth and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The shows are shortened and arranged for three actors to rehearse and perform in rep.

Auditions will be held Monday September 24th and Thursday September 27th from 5pm-8pm.

No teaching experience is necessary. Familiarity with classical texts is preferred. Access to reliable transportation and daytime availability are required.
