BMA Seeks Library & Archives Intern

The BMA's Head Librarian and Archivist is seeking an Intern who will assist with various ongoing and special projects in the Library and Archives. The Intern will gain practical experience in the art museum library and archives field, including areas such as collection management, metadata creation, cataloguing, and archival processing. In addition to focused projects, the intern will have an opportunity to explore individual areas of interest.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collections maintenance
  • Create metadata for collection
  • Cataloguing/archival processing

Qualifications

  • Educational background in History, Art History, or Museum Studies
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail
