Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations

The BMA is seeking a Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations who will play an integral role in a fast-paced Development office. The full-time, exempt position, which reports to the Deputy Director for Development, is responsible for managing the corporate and foundation Annual Fund and sponsorship programs. The position also manages the activities of the Board’s Corporate Committee.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Meet annual fundraising goals for the corporate and foundation components of the Annual Fund campaign and sponsorships.
  • Develop effective strategies to retain and upgrade current corporate and foundation Annual Fund donors; recapture lapsed donors; identify and acquire new donors.
  • Create compelling Annual Fund and sponsorship solicitation materials.
  • Submit competitive corporate and foundation grant applications; prepare required reports.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key corporate and foundation contacts through regular and targeted communication.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director, staff and Corporate Committee on fundraising projects.
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year undergraduate degree or professional experience equivalent
  • 3-5 years Development experience
  • Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and balance multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication skills, proficiency in Raiser’s Edge or donor database software
